The city of Maaseik
On the occasion of the Van Eyck-year, we made our own interpretation of “De man met rode tulband”. We used various elements that relates to the work of Jan van Eyck. The ring comes from the portrait of “Jan de Leeuw” , the ferns from “Het Lam Gods” and the red cardinal refer to the Christian theme of van Eyck. There is even a hidden skull, can you find it?
